Queenstown Arts Society - Creative Butterfly Preservation Workshop with Flora Fauna and Claire Todd

Learn the rare and unique skill of butterfly preservation in this two-day workshop! Experience the teaching of Claire Todd from @vintageliberationAptos, facilitated by Flora Fauna and QAS.

Friday 15 November and Saturday 16 November, 6pm - 7pm $95 for both days

Bring butterflies back to life through the art of preservation. In this two-day workshop, we’ll work with ethically sourced butterflies, learning techniques to gently inject, open, and set their wings for display.
‍On the first day, you’ll prepare and position your butterfly, allowing it to dry in a natural, lifelike pose.

On day two, bring your creativity to the foreground as we design custom mounts for glass frames. We suggest bringing materials like wallpaper samples, patterned paper, or dried flowers to personalize your mount.

Create a unique, beautifully framed tribute to nature’s delicate beauty!
