Studio 42 jewellery classes range from taster experiences to 10-week courses and can accommodate solo guests, couples, families, groups of friends, or private groups. We run 6 classes per week at our Country Lane studio. Pick the class that is perfect for you.

The Ring Maker is popular for your first project and a great place to start on your jewellery journey. In this 1.5hour class you will walk away with one silver ring.

Studio 42’s three-hour jewellery class is a creative adventure where students learn the skills to design and create two pieces of silver jewellery from scratch. This might include a couple of staker rings or a pendant and matching earrings.

Studio 42’s full-day class is a full-immersion jewellery workshop you’ll never forget!
You can thoughtfully design and create a bespoke piece of silver jewellery from start to finish. It’s an interactive class full of learning and laughing. You’ll even produce something memorable to take away.

Make yourself at home in Studio 42, and leave with a piece (or multiple pieces) of silver jewellery you can be proud of. Plus learn new jewellery-making skills and leave with heaps of inspiration to keep you crafting from home.

In this full-day course, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to set stones or try more challenging technical skills to create a custom piece of jewellery that you’ll cherish forever.

Students are encouraged to bring along some jewellery designs that inspire them before coming to this class.

This class also now includes the possibility of cutting your own Pounamu stone and setting it in silver. Sand casting or exploring ball or tube setting. This is also the perfect class to melt down gold and repurpose jewellery.

Silver Membership
Studio 42’s Silver Membership is a fantastic option for creatives with an interest in building upon any existing skills and becoming a jewellery designer.

This is a payment per-week commitment to your craft. The benefit of this membership is to commit to learning and have exciting opportunities to be involved with a jewellery community. Including being a part of discussions around the business of making, and how to develop as a maker in a thoughtful sustainable way.
