QAS, TART and Kasia Hebda Studio offer a co-lab Awaken Your Inner Child workshop as part of the Winter Tale exhibition. Unlock your artistic potential and explore the world of creativity with our innovative and experimental drawing techniques. You will create a unique work of art that showcases your personal style and creativity. Frame included.

The workshop will be led by Lucas Rodriguez and Kasia Hebda and will take place in the Manaaki Nui space during the Queenstown Arts Society Winter Tale 2024 Members Show. This creative surrounding will help you rediscover and interpret your emotions and awaken your inner artist.

This workshop is perfect for individuals who have always wanted to try their hand at art but doubted their abilities. It's also ideal for those looking to experience something new and unconventional. No prior art experience is necessary—just an open mind and a willingness to explore your creativity.

‍Participants will practice a variety of drawing skills, covering both basic concepts like composition and more non-standard techniques. This workshop offers a fresh perspective on drawing and serves as art therapy, demonstrating how art can be a meditative and relaxing activity.

‍By the end of the workshop, each participant will have their own framed piece of art to take home, serving as a beautiful reminder of their creative journey and the new skills they've learned.

‍The Queenstown Arts Society (QAS) is a community-based organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the visual arts in Queenstown, New Zealand. Established to foster artistic expression and appreciation within the local community, QAS offers a variety of programs, events, and opportunities for both emerging and established artists.

‍Lucas Rodriguez is an artist who thrives in a free abstract style. He has extensive experience conducting workshops focused on self-expression through art and is passionate about helping others discover their creative potential.

‍Kasia Hebda is an artist, art conservator, and designer known for her detailed work inspired by the natural world and the human psychological landscape. She helps others improve their art skills in her original courses and workshops.
