Te Wāhi Toi/The Arts Place exists to connect the creative community of Queenstown and Wānaka with audiences, students, teachers, spaces and each other. We are a not-for-profit organisation powered by Three Lakes Cultural Trust and inspired by local arts and culture.
This 1-day workshop is suitable for students who are just beginning their painting journey but ideally have done a beginners course or have been painting at home.
Students will look to explore their individual approach to painting with acrylics in an abstract genre, specifically how to start.
You will be guided through a series of exercises from which to develop a number of small works with the purpose of having an individual direction to pursue. Students should be willing to try new approaches.
