Choice are a folktronica duo fusing folk roots with eclectic rhythms ranging from DNB to dub to ambient trip-hop using a combo of acoustic instruments and electronic sounds.

The music has both Celtic and classical influences, with electronic bass-heavy subs, live looping of violin, vocals and guitar and high-energy live drumming. The orchestral loops and beat-driven layers create a hypnotic, intense and atmospheric sound topped off with thought-provoking lyrics and melodic vocals.

Choice are currently recording their 7th full-length album, amongst a multitude of e.p. and single releases over the years and are looking forward to the coming festival season with the imminent release of their new album.

Choice also host the long-running Sherwood Songwriter Society monthly open mic nights for original music and spoken word. These run on the last Thursday of each month at Sherwood Queenstown.
