Te Wāhi Toi/The Arts Place exists to connect the creative community of Queenstown and Wānaka with audiences, students, teachers, spaces and each other. We are a not-for-profit organisation powered by Three Lakes Cultural Trust and inspired by local arts and culture.
Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's insight on finding creativity in the accidental, Tony Rice embraces non-traditional art forms. He explores abstract shapes, colours, and textures, crafting images reminiscent of nature's elements. Originally from Liverpool and now residing in Wanaka, Rice studied at the Manchester Regional College of Art and has exhibited in major galleries across the UK, Europe, and New Zealand, including the John Moores Exhibition and CSA Gallery Christchurch.
