Te Wāhi Toi/The Arts Place exists to connect the creative community of Queenstown and Wānaka with audiences, students, teachers, spaces and each other. We are a not-for-profit organisation powered by Three Lakes Cultural Trust and inspired by local arts and culture.
Learn about the process of creating cyanotypes in this hands-on workshop which reflects the use of the cyanotype in the exhibition Notes in the Border, Notes at the River, Notes from the Ocean. We will look at making cyanotypes based on text (from handwriting) and objects. Saturday 4 October, 10:30am - 12pm
In this bilingual (English/Spanish) workshop you will explore creating your own photograms and photographic images using the alternative photographic process of cyanotype. Students will learn about using and mixing cyanotype chemicals, how to apply cyanotype to paper, creating negatives and how to print using the natural light of the sun.
Participants will have the opportunity to create their own cyanotype photograms during the workshop.
No experience necessary. All materials provided.
